Price Change for 
Intermedia Exchange Email

Intermedia is announcing price increases to Intermedia’s Hosted Exchange email service, effective July 1, 2026. 

Intermedia’s Hosted Exchange offering is built on the Microsoft Exchange product. Microsoft has announced global changes to its Exchange licensing program that are resulting in significant increases to the prices that Microsoft charges to its providers (such as Intermedia) for Exchange licenses, despite our efforts to negotiate.

Q: What Changes are occurring?
Prices for Hosted Exchange plans will increase as follows:

  • Service fees for Hosted Exchange without an Outlook license from Intermedia will increase by $0.51 per mailbox per month.
  • Service fees for Hosted Exchange with an Outlook license from Intermedia will increase by $0.61 per mailbox per month.
  • Service fees for add-on Outlook licenses from Intermedia will increase by $0.10 per mailbox per month. 
  • Service fees for Outlook Web Access (OWA)-ONLY licenses from Intermedia will increase by $0.20 per mailbox per month.
  • Service fees for POP and IMAP licenses from Intermedia will increase by $0.11 per mailbox per month.

Additionally, the following add-on services will also be impacted:

  • Service fees for Microsoft Email Archiving from Intermedia will increase by $0.22 per mailbox per month.
  • Service fees for Microsoft Email Archiving bundles from Intermedia will increase by $0.14 per mailbox per month.
  • Service fees for Microsoft Email Encryption from Intermedia will increase by $0.15 per mailbox per month.
  • Service fees for Microsoft Email Protection Premium from Intermedia will increase by $0.20 per mailbox per month.

Q: Does this increase affect all bundle plans? 
Yes, any plans that include Intermedia Hosted Exchange mailboxes or Policy-based Email Encryption will have the price increase.

Q: Are there other price changes for Intermedia services at this time? 
For Hosted Exchange customers, it will just be these changes to Intermedia Exchange, OWA, POP/IMAP, email archiving, policy-based encryption, and protection premium services.

There will be an additional price increase effective July 1 for Microsoft 365 customers.

Q: When will I see this on my bill? 
Reflected in billing effective July 1, 2026.

Q: Does this affect any discounts on my account? 
Current discounts will be applied to updated pricing.

Q: Does this apply to new Exchange services as well? 
Yes, this price increase applies to all new and existing Hosted Exchange plans.

Q: Can you provide a sample notification for partners to customize and send to clients about the increase?
Yes, please use the following language as a template to communicate this change with your customers.

As you may be aware, Microsoft increased licensing costs for Hosted Exchange effective January 1, 2026. This decision was made by Microsoft, and while we delayed passing along this increase, beginning July 1, 2026, pricing for Hosted Exchange and related services will increase by 5%.

Q: As a Reseller, do I need to take any additional action to make sure my customers are billed correctly? 
Yes. To help ensure that your customers are billed correctly, Resellers using retail pricing should update your retail pricing plans under the appropriate billing plan:

  1. For resellers using the ConnectWise (CW) integration for billing, it is essential to check your CW product catalog for any new SKUs and confirm that the correct pricing is applied.
  2. For resellers using the "Retail Pricing" feature in the Intermedia Partner Portal for billing, you will need to update the pricing under the appropriate billing plan to help ensure that your end customer is billed correctly for NCE monthly or annual subscriptions, as follows:
  3. If you are using an alternative billing method for your end customers, we recommend that you verify your retail pricing in the Intermedia Partner Portal as follows:
    • Go to the Partner Portal > Products & Pricing > Retail Pricing > Plan > Select appropriate billing plan and verify your retail pricing.
